Good customer service is the route to a successful tourism industry
The Tourism Training Forum for Wales (TTFW) has been undertaking the development of a new customer service programme for the Welsh Assembly Government (WAG) to drive forward the tourism industry in Wales.
The customer service programme under development will be entitled ‘Croeso Cynnes – A Warm Welcome’ and this will be part of a larger programme of support encompassing a ‘Sense of Place’ and the use of the Welsh language. Details on the developments can be found here. Read more...

Responding to high demand from chefs for more robust practical qualifications and higher levels of technical skills, we have teamed up with the Welsh Culinary Association and Cambrian Training Company to pilot AAA in Wales. South East Wales Alice Brown has been HRD Coordinator for tourism in South East Wales since March. Based in Cardiff in the Capital Region Tourism offices, her role is to facilitate skills development amongst tourism businesses in order to increase the quality and competitiveness of tourism. Her focus so far has been on establishing contact with the trade via Tourism Associations and clusters, running pilot training courses before the busy summer season and forming links with local training providers.
