Not only does it employ circa 10 percent of all people working in Wales but it also contributes more than £2 billion directly to the Welsh economy. Professional, efficient service is expected by the modern tourist, who literally has a whole world of choice in the holiday market. Our visitors expect Wales to compete on an equal basis with its global counterparts and we must share their high expectations if our tourism industry is to flourish in the future. Tourism Training for Wales remit is to assist in developing a skilled visitor economy workforce that will be required to drive the industry forward.
